Tina_Dogs_234x150My initiation into the world of McTlmoney chiropractic was as a patient In 1992. I was impressed with the successful outcome of a short course of treatment for a longstanding problem and decided to undertake training. I graduated from the McTlmoney College of Chiropractic In 1999 and went on to complete a further two year post-graduate course In McTlmoney Animal Manipulation at the Warwickshire College In 2005.  As a keen horse rider and animal lover, it is a rare privilage to be able to apply chiropractic treatment to animals.  I have been invited to apply as one of the equine chiropractors to back up the veterinary team at the London Equestrian and Para-Equestrian Olympics 2012 - so fingers crossed!

I am registered by the General Chiropractic Council and do a minimum of 30 hours additional study each year. This ensures I am kept up to date with the latest knowledge and techniques. I am also a member of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association.

In time I also became interested in Acupuncture and trained in 2008 with the British Medical Acupuncture Society founded by GP's. Training  with the BMAS was recently opened to other health care professionals besides GP's, as long as they are on a on a Statutory Register.   Acupuncture has proven to be an invaluable tool in the clinics. I regularly attend courses with the British Medical Acupuncture Society.

I was introduced to Scenar therapy by patients who had experienced Its therapeutic effects. Initially developed In the 1970's by the Russians for their astronauts,lt has since become available to health care professionals and is widely used across Russia. Considered by some to be 'Star Trek Medicine', it nonetheless seems to often deliver formidable results by way of pain relief.

Problems can be treated by one or a combination of any of the above. Each persons treatment plan will differ according to their presenting case history. The three modalities have one common factor - they all harness the body's own healing abilities. Each of the treatments acts as a catalyst to encourage your body to heal itself.  Many patients find the convenience and continuity of having the same therapist for these treatments helpful.
